Microsoft will support 8th gen and later

eg 2600 is pretty back there. That doesn't mean it won't work, just that Microsoft doesn't care about you (OK, OK, they add stuff but have to drop stuff every generation)

and btw probably ever processor sold for pc's in the last 10 years has more than one core, yours has 4.
